More than three months ago, our friend, neighbor and liberty-loving champion Brett Abernathy burned 32 percent of his body in a horrible accident at his home. For 90+ days Brett has fought near death and debilitating pain to finally come home to his family, where he will continue his rehabilitation.

Brett has served his community fighting for conservative principals for years as a county councilman, and board member of both the Weld County Republicans and the Northern Colorado Young Republicans.

It has been and will continue to be a long process. The bills are adding up fast, and the family needs our help.

Party in the Pasture is our opportunity to come together as a community and rally around the Abernathy family! We will dance and celebrate the wonderful culture of ag, oil and gas, community and helping our neighbors that Weld County represents, in true Weld County style, under the stars in the pasture!

The event will be held at 14198 County Road 90 in Pierce on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 6:30 p.m. until the the last person leaves.

More information on the fundraiser can be found here:

But we need all the help we can get with this event, donations for a silent auction, food, beverage, just anything. We’d like to make this a truly 100 percent donated party, so all the proceeds go to the Abernathy family!

But we recognize not everyone can attend, or have items to donate, so please reach deep into your pockets here, and help this amazing family not have to worry about the medical costs as they continue to get their father and husband back to 100 percent!

All proceeds go to the Brett Abernathy Burn Fund and will be turned over to Brett’s wife, Sabrina Abernathy.
